2025: The Year in Review

It is hard to believe we are already at the end of another year. This one was particularly exciting for Cailíní Coastal, filled with major milestones and a few challenges that brought us closer together.

As so many of us do, I always use the quieter moments at the end of December to reflect. It is a time to be thankful for the good things, learn from the busy moments, and set new goals (both professionally and personally).

I thought I would share a look back at the timeline of our year, from the "pinch me" moments to the all hands on deck reality of running a small business.

Here's a recap from the past year...

JANUARY

The year began with heavy hearts as we watched the devastating fires in Los Angeles - the city where Cailíní Coastal, and my family, began - from afar. Thanks to your incredible support, Cailíní Coastal was able to donate $50,000 to Family Promise - a national non-profit and ongoing partner of ours - to aid low-income families displaced by the tragedy. It was a reminder that even when we feel helpless, there is always a way to help, even if small.

FEBRUARY

A major "pinch me" moment for the business, as we debuted our first-ever in-house designed décor pieces!  Seeing my sketches come to life was so exciting. These pieces all became instant best-sellers!

MARCH

I escaped the tail end of the New England winter for a family trip to Palm Beach. Sunshine and palm trees were just what we needed. The trip was full of design inspiration, including some incredible vintage finds that are already influencing our product development for the future. Stay tuned!

APRIL

Cailíní Coastal turned 5! This was a massive milestone for our small business.  Whether you’ve been here since day one or just found us, thank you for making this journey possible.

MAY

After months of renovations, design work, and moving logistics, we officially opened the doors to our family beach house on Nantucket. Spending our very first season as island homeowners was a true gift.

JUNE

Inspired by our new happy place, we launched the Nantucket Collection, featuring exclusive favorites like our Whale Nesting Baskets and ACK Pillows. You all loved them as much as I do.  The pillows sold out almost immediately...and we just restocked!  You can shop the pillow here.

JULY

I spent most of the month on Nantucket, which was a total dream. During that time, I attended my first Nantucket by Design week.  The highlight was definitely seeing keynote speaker Martha Stewart.  If you’re on the island next summer, this event is a must-see.  You can find info on next year's event here

AUGUST

We welcomed the Homeworthy team into our Nantucket home for a tour. It was another major "pinch me" moment to share the spaces we’ve poured so much love into. You can watch the full segment here.

SEPTEMBER

While the rest of the country was enjoying the end of summer, I was in full holiday mode. I put up four Christmas trees and decked the halls for our holiday photoshoot. For the first time ever, I hired help for the shoot...what a gift! A September Christmas is a totally normal timeline in my kids' minds now.

OCTOBER

Facing a busy season while short-staffed, we really leaned into being a family-owned business. My husband and daughters (ages 7 and 8) stepped in to kit products and pack orders with me over the weekends.  It was a true "all hands on deck" effort and a memory with my family that I will never forget.

NOVEMBER

Hard work pays off. We had a record-breaking sales month! A massive thank you for shopping with us, and to the incredible CC Team for making it happen. We could not do this without you.

DECEMBER

After a three-month sprint, the end of the year is my time to finally exhale. It’s a different kind of busy now - school parties, concerts, and holiday prep - but I am soaking up every moment with my husband, kids, and friends.

Thank you for being part of our story this year. We have so many exciting things planned for the new year, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season!

xx Meg
