5 Simple Ways to Transition Your Home to Fall
I love fall! I love the smells, the colors, the crisp air, the antiqued hydrangea - I could go on and on. When I lived in Southern California, I didn't get to enjoy all of the aspects of fall that I do now living in the Northeast, but I still updated the decor of my home to evoke those cozy fall feelings regardless of the temperatures outside. You don't have to live in a place that experiences the crisp weather and foliage to make your own home feel like fall. These 5 decor tips are certain to stylishly transition your home into the autumn season!

TIP 1: ADD MOODIER COLORS & HEARTIER TEXTURES
Swap your summer bright coastal hues for moodier seaside colors like navy blue, grays and soft browns. Trade your light linen fabrics for heavier textures, like velvet or cashmere.
You don't need to make these updates all over your home, just focus on the easy to change accents like pillows, throws, and bedding.

TIP 2: SPRINKLE IN SEASONAL DECOR
When it comes to seasonal decor, less is more! I use the word "sprinkle" because you don't want to overdue the literal pieces. Our collection of velvet and capiz shell pumpkins offer an elegant way to infuse your home with seasonal decor without looking kitschy. The luxurious velvet and natural capiz shell materials make for chic additions styled on mantles, coffee or console tables, nightstands, bookshelves or next to a powder bathroom sink. Mix these faux pumpkins with natural pumpkins for a varied look.

TIP 3: CREATE AMBIANCE WITH CANDLES
Adding candlelight instantly creates a cozy, moody ambiance. Our 4-Wick Pumpkin Spice Candle Bowl and fall scented candles are a stylish way to create a mood while also enjoying the fragrance of fall. Add sleek taper candles to an entryway, a mantle or dining table mixed with some pumpkins to create a similar ambiance with a more classic style candle.

TIP 4: INCORPORATE FALL FLORALS
I always have florals around my home. They are one of the easiest things to update with each season. When I can't get fresh, I opt for realistic faux. Adding seasonally appropriate stems and florals (whether natural or faux) will transform your home to fall. Our beautiful faux Magnolia Leaves and Antiqued Hydrangea Stems offer a highly realistic look without the maintenance of natural stems.

TIP 5: LAYER WITH THROWS
Draped over the backs of side chairs, sofas or at the foot of a bed, add a rich, cozy throw to layer. Opt for warmer colors and heavier textures, like our new Windowpane Cashmere Throws.
