CC ACK Beach House: Great Room Reveal

I’m so excited to finally reveal the first completed room of the Nantucket Beach House (and my personal favorite)...the Great Room!  From the moment you open the front door, your eye is drawn straight into this beautiful, sun-drenched space and out through a wall of windows to the backyard, pool, and pool house beyond. It truly sets the tone for the entire home.

This room feels like it could have been pulled straight from a Nancy Meyers film set with crisp white slipcovered sofas, a classic blue-and-white stripe rug, and plenty of breezy, coastal details. The walls, painted in Benjamin Moore’s Simply White, keep the space feeling bright and airy, while woven shades add subtle texture at the windows.

Our Crew Stripe Rug is the perfect foundation for this space.  It's durable, stylish, and built to stand up to high-traffic living.  Designed with a unique mix of bold stripes and a herringbone pattern in a classic blue-and-white coastal palette, it’s as eye-catching as it is practical. No surprise it’s one of the most-asked-about pieces in the entire home!

Along the wall opposite the windows, a custom Cailíní Coastal console, painted in our signature blue,  anchors the space, with a stunning Surfside Beach photograph (our local beach) by my dear friend and talented photographer, Zofia Crosby, hung above.

I love that this console has three shelves for endless styling opportunities!  I filled them with some of our favorite coastal accessories including books, coral, sea glass beads, our Big Fish Planter and Nantucket Stripe Bone Boxes

The swivel club chairs, designed by Lynn Morgan Design, are upholstered in a durable performance fabric perfect for a family-friendly beach house. Our Polpis Coffee Table is wrapped in a faux Belgian linen, adds an elevated, textural look but is built to withstand daily wear. Its generous size also makes it ideal for games and puzzles on those lazy, rainy days.

One of my absolute favorite pieces in the room is our new Molly Slipcover Sofa. It’s the quintessential beach house sofa, casual yet refined, and dressed in a washable cotton performance fabric that holds up to sandy feet and sun-soaked kids.

We have our new Vintage Tennis Racquet Art hanging overhead.

Our Blue Whale Nesting Baskets fit right in, too, and make stylish, practical storage for our cozy Chappy Wrap blankets - a favorite with my girls. Finally, to welcome guests as they walk through the front door, I added a lush faux Snowball Hydrangea arrangement.  I love the look of florals when you walk through the front door and wanted something that was low maintenance and would be there each time we arrive (no trip to the florist required!).
