CC ACK Beach House: The Nantucket Guest Suite Reveal
When I first started thinking about the guest suite in our Nantucket beach house, I wanted it to feel like a true retreat — a space where guests could close the door, unwind, and feel completely at home. Tucked away in the basement, this suite offered a quiet sense of privacy, which made it the perfect place to lean into color, pattern, and personality.

We worked closely with designer Lynn Morgan throughout this project, and she’s always encouraging me to step just outside my blue-loving comfort zone while keeping everything feeling timeless and true to the house. This room is a perfect example of that balance.

Lynn is always encouraging me to step beyond my blue-loving instincts. While green is usually my natural second choice, she pushed me to try something unexpected here. That’s how Nantucket red became the starting point for this space — a classic island color that feels cheerful, timeless, and full of character.
The striped wallpaper immediately set the tone. It adds warmth and energy to the room, while still feeling crisp and tailored. Even though the color makes a statement, it doesn’t overwhelm — instead, it gives the space that collected, Nantucket charm I was hoping for.

To balance the bold wallpaper, we kept the furnishings grounded and textural. Our Cisco Dresser brings in warmth and softness, while natural finishes and subtle coastal accents help the room feel relaxed and inviting. Every piece was chosen to make the space feel comfortable and easy — a bedroom designed for slow mornings and restful nights.

Just off the bedroom, the en suite bathroom offers a quieter contrast. Wrapped in a soft blue wallpaper, the space feels fresh and calming, creating a natural transition from the boldness of the bedroom. The bone mirror adds a beautiful organic element, and our Sea Fan art brings in a subtle nod to the coast without feeling overly themed.

Seeing this guest suite come together has been one of my favorite moments in the house. It feels playful yet polished, bold yet calming — a space that reflects Nantucket’s character while still feeling personal and welcoming.
Thank you for following along as we continue to share more rooms from our Nantucket beach house. I hope this suite inspires you to lean into color and pattern in unexpected places, especially in spaces meant for guests.
