CC: We've been following you for quite some time here at Cailini Coastal, but can you tell our readers a bit more about your background and how you got started in your career?
MY: Several years ago my husband and I remodeled our farmhouse. I had always dabbled in interiors prior to this and decided to take it full time when I was asked to help a family member with their beach house. Since then I have been decorating coastal vacation homes and loved every minute!

CC: What inspired you to start sharing your interior design on Instagram?
MY: I started sharing on Instagram slowly several years ago. I loved having a curated feed full of my projects and moments from my own home. It has been fun sharing with my audience over the years.

CC: How would you describe your design aesthetic?
MY: A fresh take on traditional with coastal influence

CC: What are your top three favorite design trends right now?
MY: I love seeing the use of more vintage-inspired pieces being used, collected moments and vignettes, and the use of wallpaper!

CC: Where do you find inspiration for your home decor projects?
MY: I always find inspiration through nature and traveling to new places!
CC: Can you share a recent project you’ve worked on that you’re particularly proud of?
MY: Last year we purchased a vacation rental in Watercolor, Florida. It has been such a fun project and a favorite place to visit!

CC: How do you approach designing a room from scratch? Do you have a specific process or set of steps you follow?
MY: I always find the mood with textiles. I love fabrics and wallpapers and I always start by pulling samples and color schemes that speak to the project!
CC: What advice do you have for someone looking to refresh their home?
MY: Work intentionally and focus on how you and your family use your home. Decorate with the pieces that bring you joy!

CC: What’s next for you? Do you have any exciting projects or collaborations coming up that you can share with us?
MY: I am taking a break from residential design and focusing more on brand work. I am really looking forward to this new chapter in my life!
