E-Commerce Operations & Showroom Coordinator

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are opening our first showroom, scaling our vendor partnerships, and building the infrastructure to support our next phase of growth. We are looking for a highly organized and execution-focused operations professional to join the Cailini Coastal team as our E-Commerce Operations & Showroom Coordinator. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role that keeps our business running smoothly — from managing dropship orders and white glove deliveries to keeping our inventory accurate and our Shopify storefront clean.

This is a dual-reporting working with both our Dropship Manager and Showroom Manager. You will be a critical member of our operations team at an exciting moment of growth. We are building our infrastructure as we scale, and we need someone who is highly organized and self-sufficient.

This role starts at 15 - 20 hours per week with 3 - 4 days in person in our Norwalk Connecticut Warehouse, and can grow into a full-time position as our team and business expand.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Dropship Operations Support

       Support the Dropship Manager in the day-to-day execution of vendor orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and seamless coordination across suppliers.

       Place and track dropship orders, monitoring fulfillment status and proactively flagging delays or discrepancies.

       Coordinate white glove delivery logistics, working with carriers and customers to ensure a premium delivery experience from order to doorstep.

       File and follow up on shipping claims, damages, and vendor disputes with attention to detail and persistence.

       Maintain accurate inventory records across systems, performing regular updates and reconciliations to ensure data integrity.

 

Shopify & Website Operations

       Assist with back-end Shopify tasks including product listings, inventory adjustments, order management, and basic site updates.

       Identify and flag website issues - from product details to availability - and execute timely corrections to keep the storefront accurate and customer-ready.

       Support the team in seasonal merchandising updates, product launches, and other site maintenance needs as they arise.

Showroom & Warehouse Support

       You will be a key part of our new showroom during setup, events, and key operational moments.

       Assist with warehouse fulfillment needs and logistics support during peak seasons and special events.

       Be a reliable, enthusiastic presence whenever the local team needs an extra set of capable hands. We are building something great and want people on the team who are energized by that.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

       Highly organized and detail-oriented — you catch errors others miss and take pride in accurate, thorough work.

       Able to work independently with minimal oversight; a true self-starter who manages their own priorities and follows through.

       Experience in operations, logistics, e-commerce administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.

       Shopify experience strongly preferred; comfort navigating back-end e-commerce platforms is a plus.

       Proficient with standard business tools (email, spreadsheets, order management systems); quick learner with new software.

       Strong communicator — able to coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal team members clearly and professionally.

       Able to commit to 3 - 4 in-person days per week in our Norwalk, Connecticut HQ.

       Flexible and enthusiastic about pitching in across a growing startup team.

 

STRUCTURE & COMPENSATION:

       Part-time, 15 - 20 hours per week to start, with a clear pathway to full-time as the role and team expand.

       3 - 4 days per week in person in Norwalk, CT. This is a fully in-office role.

       $24 - $28 per hour; based on experience.

       Growth opportunity: this is a ground-floor position on a scaling team.  The right person will grow with this role – expanded responsibilities, title and compensation to match.
